Atty. CHRISTINE ANGELICA B. ELVEÑA, CPA, LLM, is the present Dean of the SLU School of Law. She also previously served as its Head of the Department of Commercial and Taxation Laws. She was a former Trial Attorney/Legal Officer at the City Legal Office of Baguio City. She earned her Bachelor of Laws Degree in 2007 from the Saint Louis University, Baguio City, where she was an academic scholar and graduated as the class valedictorian. She became a member of the Philippine Bar in 2008. Thereafter, she earned her Master of Law Degree from the San Beda University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), having been admitted to the Accountancy profession in the year 2002. Subsequently, she served as an Auditor in the Joaquin Cunanan & Co. (now Isla Lapana, a member affiliate of the PricewaterhouseCoopers).
Dean Elveña is heavily engaged in tax advisory, tax compliance services, and accounting consultancy, currently serving as an accounting, tax and corporate/business consultant for various businesses in Baguio City. She likewise has extensive experience in representing clients before the Bureau of Internal Revenue, handling letters of authority and protesting tax assessments, as well as before local governments, concerning local and real property tax assessments.
In the national scene, Dean Elveña is the author of the book “Understanding Income Taxation” which is published nationwide by the Central Book Supply, Inc. Too, Dean Elveña actively gives Bar and CPA review lectures on Taxation, presently affiliated with the Albano Bar Review Center and the ChanRobles Internet Bar & CPA Review.
She earned her undergraduate degree, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, from SLU, where she graduated cum laude. She now has over twelve (12) years of experience in trial practice.
